Park access & time

What Is Early Theme Park Entry?

Short answer

Early Theme Park Entry gives guests at eligible hotels access to a Disney World theme park before its regular opening time.

It can create useful early capacity, but not every attraction is included and the schedule can change.

How it works

You need eligible accommodation, valid admission and an accepted form of entry. Disney publishes the current parks, times and participating attractions. Check Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page and the app close to your visit.

What families need to know

The benefit matters most when you arrive ready to use it. Entering near the end of the early period after a rushed morning may offer little advantage. Transport, breakfast and children’s normal wake-up time belong in the decision.

Common confusion

Early Entry is an eligibility benefit. Rope drop is simply the strategy of being ready when park access begins.
